The incumbent partners with the Clinic Manager regarding hiring, training, evaluating and supervising the clinic’s patient care staff, and is responsible for providing patient care staff education. In addition, the incumbent also provides care to clinic patients. Provides for effective staffing and utilization of personnel including licensed and non-licensed staff. This person is able to evaluate patient care needs provided in the clinic and assign personnel accordingly. Oversees and processes all aspects of referral processes. Ensures supplies are being used properly and in a cost-effective manner. Demonstrates effective communication, leadership and critical thinking skills. This position works independently and has exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. This position spends the majority of time sitting (up to 70% of work time) with frequent walking of short distances (up to 30% of work times.) Must be willing to travel between satellite clinic locations and fill in PRN for any nursing position needed.
AR RN License (will consider LPN with strong skills); CPR; Auto Insurance.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
Minimum of two years experience as a charge nurse or a nurse in nephrology specialty. The ability to operate standard nursing practices, as usually demonstrated by completion of a licensed practical nurse program and obtainment of AR licensure. This position must have effective communication skills with patients, co-workers, supervisor and physicians. This person must have good problem solving skills and utilize professional knowledge in this process. This position must be able to prioritize clinic/patients needs and assist in other areas as requested.
